Former Detroit lions defensive-end Lawrence Jackson decided to take to Twitter this morning to describe his feelings about the Lions and specifically Jim Schwartz.
The stream of tweets started with his thoughts on Green Bay Packers offensive lineman Josh Sitton’s assertion that the Lions are a dirty defensive line.
In football the QB is the head of the snake…unless you're Flynn in December. Knocking the QB out almost guarantees victory that's goal #1
— Lawrence Jackson (@LoJackson94) November 27, 2013
I don't disagree with him about Jim, but the other stuff…it's sharks in the water…if you don't want any problems…protect your QB…

Then he elaborated on his feelings about Schwartz that he alluded to in the previous tweet.
@BigRed6810 his attitude is different. There's only one Bill Belichick. There's a lot to being honest and doing whatever it takes to win.

“@sanman20: @LoJackson94 what do you have against Jim?” I don't have anything against him. I just don't have a ton of respect for him.
— Lawrence Jackson (@LoJackson94) November 27, 2013
@sanman20 not everyone is held to the same standard and things are done because he wants to do them not because they're good for the team.
— Lawrence Jackson (@LoJackson94) November 27, 2013
@sanman20 he will also lie right to your face. I asked a question I knew the answer to and he tried to bullshit me…I saw right through it.

When asked if he felt the team would win a Super Bowl with Schwartz he did not hold back.
@ShaunMichael80 no. But it's also a cap situation. Are they able to put the right players in the right places. They're always doing cap magic
— Lawrence Jackson (@LoJackson94) November 27, 2013
Jackson went on to say he liked defensive coordinator Gunther Cunningham, but thought Scott Linehan was not the best offensive coordinator for the players. He believes the offense stalls too much.
@killernut4 I like Gun a lot. I feel the same way towards Scott that you guys do. For the power of that offense they shouldn't stall often.
— Lawrence Jackson (@LoJackson94) November 27, 2013
@killernut4 offensive 3& outs were frustrating and turnovers were frustrating.
— Lawrence Jackson (@LoJackson94) November 27, 2013
When asked about how to fix the Lions, Jackson believes it is not just a “head coach thing.”
@det_sports_nut I don't think it's just a get a new head coach thing…
— Lawrence Jackson (@LoJackson94) November 27, 2013
He also goes on to state that this is not a question of sour grapes and that he chose to leave the organization.
For all the fans that think I'm sour and think I'm a bust. It's really true that ignorance is bliss. Limited perspective is the ill of man.
— Lawrence Jackson (@LoJackson94) November 27, 2013
@ShaunMichael80 I have nothing to be sour about, I chose to not come back. And this is stuff I felt when I played but couldn't tweet.
— Lawrence Jackson (@LoJackson94) November 27, 2013
@Almudryk I didn't want to come back based off how they handled my situation my last 2 years out there.
— Lawrence Jackson (@LoJackson94) November 27, 2013
Jackson continued on stating he felt it was a preparation issue for some players and that falls on the coach.
@ShaunMichael80 there were players who weren't 100% prepared and it showed, but can't get mad at the kid that draws on the wall…the parent
— Lawrence Jackson (@LoJackson94) November 27, 2013
@MLG0298 it's coaching because you coach the players to execute. If they aren't executing there's something wrong about the process.
— Lawrence Jackson (@LoJackson94) November 27, 2013
He went on to say that the points the Lions score in games don’t matter continuing on to say the team relies too much on Calvin Johnson.
@TravaTrave you guys are hanging onto hope. Points don't mean anything unless you're winning the big games. The saints points matter.
— Lawrence Jackson (@LoJackson94) November 27, 2013
@TravaTrave they can score all the time with multiple weapons. There's an EXTREME over reliance on Calvin. Teams aren't letting him beat them
